Abstract

The long existing cultural ties of the peoples of Central Asia and Western Europe have largely strengthened in the historical process of their development through literary translation. A special place in this process belonged to the work of the outstanding poet -Alisher Navoi. Since the study of the chronological aspects of the problem has confirmed that among the Eastern classics Navoi is the first poet who was translated into the European languages.
